You do realize, for the 1,000,000 time, that USF is the ONLY FBS program out of 128 programs that has actual reported weekly along with announced.  All other 127 programs give and only have reported on a week to week basis ANNOUNCED attendance.

With that said, my guess is 39K (announced of course).   

I challenge anyone to find one program that has 2 attendance numbers given, actual and announced.  It is extremely rare.  The apples to apples with everyone else's attendance is announced.  And other programs don't even call it announced.  They just say that is what their attendance is.

STOP FEEDING THE ABSURDITY.

 

Those empty seats tell a different story on TV.  Let people take 2 guesses.

 Showing the east side on TV hurts perception.

Not sure about the perception thing.  There are more people on the west side but, rewatching the game,  it wasn't jammed packed or anything when they did show that side.  16K in a lower bowl that holds, what, 41K?  Unless someone is broadcasting from a GoPro in the huddle it won't look good.

Absolutely. My point is just that the west side always has significantly more people in seats than the east side (visitors sections, less desirable for shade, etc), and the east side is what is shown on TV. At the end of the day there are no excuses for the terrible attendance, but the prescription on TV is much worse. The TV shots of the west side must have been from panoramas and end zone views. The are no cameras on the east side shooting towards the west that I have seen. The direction of the field is always consistent on TV.
