USF's jet sweep leaves opposing defenses in a heap

Good timing on this article as I've been meaning to post and ask the board's thoughts on Adams leaving.  A Syracuse poster noted how ridiculously fast #87 looked in person and after reviewing film I agree.

He really hits the hole fast and with a purpose.

Who will take his place on the jet sweep?

Shhhhhhhh. We want all to focus on the sweep action. Not the sweep action counter.

  I dont know if you can find effortless speed like that anywhere.  The blocks still have to be made or it wont work no matter how fast your player is.

My guess is Willie will have some sort of special play on a jet sweep (ala Syracuse from last season).

My bet is we'll see some trickery out of it against FSU. I also don't think the traditional version will work so well against them. There's a lot of tape on it, and we don't have a speed benefit against them per se.

The reason this has worked so well is the other wr's blocking....we have some big boys at the wideout position and thus far they are doing their job and getting dirty....
