It's the condescension and backhand complements and the stupidity in the comparisons UT vs VaTech...or one of the most populous cities on the planet with nearly 12 million people...the headline is not great product on the field...it's empty seats, clearly doing what he thinks will generate clicks...the type of crap that rings around media circles...anyhow whatever...doesnt deserve my energy any longer

I've never seen a place where local media craps on the home team at every chance they get. We've been playing football for 20 years...and he compares us to teams that have been around much longer. This is why I don't subscribe to their crappy paper.

I just don't get it though. His entire sentiment throughout the article was that the state of the program is mediocre, but we are fun to watch.

In actuality, we have won 9 of our last 10 regular season games, and in the last 5, the average score is 52 - 18, with rising attendance. What is this guy's problem? He acts as if he will be fired if he gives the team the credit it has actually earned

Most of our local media does act like giving us a complement is going to kill them. Keep winning and those idiots will eventually have to give us some respect.
