Kean has looked sharp.  So much improvement in him from a year ago when both him and Flowers looked mostly hapless when learning this system for the first time.

I honestly believe that if AW had been ruled eligible last year, he might have taken the job and run with it.  I'd like to think the fact that AW is #3 shows the growth of the other two QBs from a year ago, and means we have real depth at QB for the first time ever.

Quinton Flowers showed one thing last season that I think was really important.  He displayed poise and competitiveness we hadn't seen from a QB in a long time.  He puts it on the line... but I'd like him to not do any more helicopter touchdowns... I really think that caused us the Navy game.  But he seems to be maturing nicely.  I'm excited for this season... but jeeze louise... imagine next season.  We could be about to make one of the best runs in school history!

That's highly possible

The plot thickens...wonder if this happened before the decision was made

Weren't the two TE sets the basis for the 2 RB + QF formation that we saw last year? Not sure if these were two TE formations, but whatever they were, they were very successful.

Checking highlights of last year; those were actually 3 WR sets.

I believe so...but have to go back and look. If my memory serves me, I remember the typical I-formation set where the "FB" was the TE (S.Price). The nice thing about this wrinkle is that this would essential make the opposing D sell out to the run. You should get a mismatch on atleast one of the eligible receivers, which in the picture below would include both WRs, TE, FB, and RB. Why not used a full back? Well you should have a better mismatch with a TE as a receiver than a FB.

I still care about the O line and all, but with an apparently stacked WR corps and a mobile, running backfield, I don't see us scoring less than 35 on 9/3...hopefully a lot more.
