blame game, how very 21st century. If we don't get in, blame won't matter except to make a few ragers feel better.

We still have to back the school...or find another alma mater to chastise. I nominate your high school.

If a school gets in over us, it'll be because they have a better resumé.  I'm fully annoyed with how "convenient" everything was with basketball today, but I'm not convinced it broke us of becoming a P5 school.

I blame Aldi and their shopping cart rental nonsense.

Partly Jim Leavitt for lying and tampering with the investigation process that led to his firing. I like to think he would still be here and we would be in a better conference already if things had gone differently

Hopefully you're not in such dire straits as to not be able to part with a quarter for 30 minutes.

I blame COA.  We were a lock for about 12 hours, and then news of the investigation hit.  Doomed.

I blame every student that failed to show up to support the team. Student section is just garbage. Oh, im sure they'll be out in force this year as the bandwagon begins to crank backup. The student fan base is pitiful. Students should be the loudest and strongest force at every home game. Sometimes I think they are #3 behind the Alumni of USF and the fans of the other teams.

This is why I was frustrated to see the Big 12 express interest in expanding again. I hope Mike Aresco takes this news, and begins his own detailed search of the best program fits for the AAC. If the Big 12 decides not to expand, we should take that as a blessing, and be proactive in recruiting ourselves. Lets add 4 more (get to 16), to deplete competition with the other G5, and gain traction with a possible P6 bid, with my top candidates being

1. Boise State

2. Colorado State

3. Air Force

4. Northern Illinois

5. Army

6. Appalachian State

7. Louisiana Tech

8. SDSU

9. Middle Tennessee

10. Toledo

11. Marshall

I love SDSU as a program, but unless they want to go football only, (I doubt they will, due to their basketball program being so big) I doubt it will work. They are just too far.

San Diego is easier to get to than Boise!

Boise already turned down a move east... and Army doesn't want to be in a conference... I would explore Northern Illinois, Toledo, Colorado State, ... with Air Force as football only (like Navy).

Then I would honestly explore starting an AAC Network.  It would be small, but it would bring in some $$ from cable subscribers and we have a decent footprint.  See if NBC/Universal would be interested as a partner during the next round of contracts in 2020.
