This is why I was frustrated to see the Big 12 express interest in expanding again. I hope Mike Aresco takes this news, and begins his own detailed search of the best program fits for the AAC. If the Big 12 decides not to expand, we should take that as a blessing, and be proactive in recruiting ourselves. Lets add 4 more (get to 16), to deplete competition with the other G5, and gain traction with a possible P6 bid, with my top candidates being

1. Boise State

2. Colorado State

3. Air Force

4. Northern Illinois

5. Army

6. Appalachian State

7. Louisiana Tech

8. SDSU

9. Middle Tennessee

10. Toledo

11. Marshall

I love SDSU as a program, but unless they want to go football only, (I doubt they will, due to their basketball program being so big) I doubt it will work. They are just too far.

I hate to say you're right, but you're right. USF just isn't cutting it lately. We need one or two more amazing years to prove this program is where it needs to be. We might end up proving it too late

Please define amazing years as it relates to impressing the Big 12.

East: Temple, USF, UCONN, UMass, ECU, FAU

West: Charlotte, SMU, Tulane, FIU, Tulsa, Navy

Now that is a powerhouse conference!
