I mean, I would go anywhere to watch the Bulls play. It's really more a matter of when during the year and if I have the vacation days to make it work. Bowl season? For sure! Opening weekend? That's harder.

Where the hell are you staying in London for $165 for three days? An Underground station? I was there this summer and stayed in a Holiday Inn Express that cost that much a night.

1. You went during peak season.

2. I checked Expedia. Plenty of good hotels there on the weekend of September 3-5th that aren't expensive. I saw many well under 100, including one in Wembley (this assumes the game is played at Wembley Stadium) for 60 a night or so).

3. If you try to pick a hotel you find here, it may be more expensive.

Is it really? Opening game is right on Labor Day weekend. Prices are higher for travel, sure. But you would already have three days to work with. The question is more-can you get a fourth?

I didn't know Rick Steves was a USF fan.

We were ready in '02 to go to Hawaii. Been to El Paso, Reno, Toronto, etc. We book at least one away game every year and any Bowl game when we're in one. So, I guess the answer would be any one of them.

Found a way to Toronto, so I'd find a way to a far away bowl game. Doubt it would happen for a regular season game though.
