Not even a little.  I hate having a QB that throws an eight yard swing pass into the ground.

Jameis Winston threw a ball into the ground about that distance that would have been the game winning TD at Atlanta this year.

By your logic, you would hate having him as a QB too, right?

Jameis doesn't do that a dozen times per game.  But, if you want to believe he's a brilliant QB you are free to do so.

season is a success but it ended on a real bad note

no defense

we blew a  14 point lead

i hope there is a real competition for qb position

qf doesnt consistently throw the ball well

3 dropped passes, 3 times we bit on the pitch back to the QB so their receivers were wide open plus (and I normally don't say this out loud) the horrendous reffing cost us the game.

Really tough to blame the QF specifically and the offense generally when the D allows 45 points. I am much more concerned about our defensive backs going into next year than any other position. They may have more experience but are they any good????

Neither does QF.  But if you want to pretend he can't do anything right, you are free to do so.

I didn't say that.  But no objective person can look at that game yesterday and believe he is anywhere near consistent enough throwing the ball.  Those first two and half quarters were atrocious.  You perhaps forget that Johnson was throwing the ball far better than Flowers, and his TD pass kept us in the game.

Agreed only in the fact that QF had an off day. Season wise though, he had the best season any usf qb had every had, and with our players dropping like flies yesterday QF lead that comeback with some big runs and throws. Can't expect much more of of them especially with special teams doing them no favors.

As has already been stated, the problem yesterday was the defense. Really came unglued. Our offense made strides throughout the season but we are not a shootout O... Yet.

Fair enough.  But we need far more consistency from the position if we are to challenge for the AAC next year.

Exactly.  Yesterday was the first time all year 35 points from our offense wasn't enough to win.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
