It seems it really takes awhile to warm up QF he looked like his old self for half the game glad he came around some in 2nd half.

I would have begged for an 8-5 record with bowl game loss at beginning of the season.

Good season, now recruit like crazy, players start training now. Next season begins now

No way that WKU has more talent than USF. I was expecting USF to win in convincing fashion

Hmm I don't think so.

Despite the loss I'm still very happy for the season. Going into the year I was hoping for 6-6 and a bowl appearance. We exceeded that and had some big wins. Best of all this team was fun to watch again and I looked forward to attending the games. The last few years it was practically a chore dragging myself there and thinking I hope I don't fall asleep in my seat since the brand of football was not only bad but boring. I can't wait til next year.

So leading up to this the logic was:
- We blew out Cincy, and WKU is the same as Cincy, therefore we will blow out WKU
- However, WKU is not Cincy.  They were running us down on offense when we could get near the line of scrimmage and we couldn't get to their QB for most of the game.

Next year can be special if we...

1. Continue to do the little things to improve as a team.

2. Build some depth on Defense and at the WR position

3. Execute more on the designed passing plays. Get sharper on routes and passing accuracy in the short to mid-range game.

4. Get better in the kicking game, especially kickoffs and kickoff coverage.

5. Continue to open up the play book and be aggressive offensively.

The coaches salaries should all be taken care of, so now it's time to concentrate on building something special next year.

No shame in losing a close one to WKU. They are a good team. I'm happy with the year we had even if the bowl put a bad taste in my mouth.

Our defense got worked. Absolutely shredded. Definitely did not look like the defense we saw in the past 8 games.

We get it, you hate QF.  It's blatantly obvious.

Not even a little.  I hate having a QB that throws an eight yard swing pass into the ground.

Take the good with the bad dude.

He also throws a hell of a deep ball, and can scramble (thankfully, because he was running for his life all game) and make plays when things break down.
