What a horrible thing to find, checking in on TBP. So very sad for his wife & daughters especially--my heart on the floor. Prayers...

Banning players from Ybor is not going to solve anything.  There are bad place and bad people everywhere.  The USF campus is closer to hard core ghetto areas that are worse than the worst of Ybor.

 

What Taggart should teach his players is to walk away from a fight.

What Taggart should teach his players is to walk away from a fight.

He did say that players have to know when to walk away so he has communicated this to his players. I also hope he communicates to those players who have kids on the team to also be responsible for them by staying away from these types of places.

It's a tragic, horrible event, but you can bet smarter people, especially parents, are speaking to their kids about this type of situation.

 

Hopefully, smarter people learn so Elkino's death can help others.

Any time a pro player in any sport gets in trouble at or near a club you hear the phrase "nothing good ever happens after 1 am when you are out".  That needs to get passed along to the team.  Good advice.

Ybor is a sideshow late at night. ZERO need for anyone making something of themselves to be there past 1:00. I can see folks going out for this after party event, but Ybor should be avoided late at nighh. I've heard too many stories of bad things happening to people there. I have no problems going there in the day time.
