    Flowers had the best season for a USF quarterback ever. The idea of replacing him with an unknown is just laughable to me. We've had absolute garbage QB play for years, now we finally have a guy that is great playmaker, and you knuckleheads are already looking to replace him. I don't think QF will play a down in the NFL. I do think he is perfect for the offense Taggart is running. He isn't perfect (some of the passes yesterday were way off), but he is a gamer, and made something out of nothing constantly. He is a sophomore, and unless he is regresses greatly next year (where he should improve) he will be our QB.

    I ended up being really pleased with my seats in section 16, row E. Five rows up in the corner of the endzone. The only thing that bugged me was how far we were from the actual football field due to home plate. Got a great view of 3 USF touchdowns though (the bomb to Adams and two QF scrambles).

    I think we will go 7-5 at worst. Could go higher, but there are too many unknowns between Syracuse, Navy, ECU, Memphis and UCF . 4 new coaches and Navy loses everyone. Really hard prediction, I hope for a huge year though.

    Flowers set USF records this year as a QB, but yeah. Let's make him a running back. Genius. It will be a "competition", but unless AW is a first round nfl QB and we just don't know it, Flowers will be the man next year.

    Take the good with the bad dude. He also throws a hell of a deep ball, and can scramble (thankfully, because he was running for his life all game) and make plays when things break down.

    I was really disappointed with the defense. honestly, we are lucky it was even close. WKU missed some wide open guys on deep throws. They could have easily dropped 50 on us. seemed like Doughty had all day back there for the most part, too. We had a few big sacks, and a few HUGE picks, but other than that they moved the ball at will on us.

    Some of you guys...I swear. QF had 3 touchdowns and we had almost 600 yards of offense. Still complaining

    No shame in losing a close one to WKU. They are a good team. I'm happy with the year we had even if the bowl put a bad taste in my mouth. Our defense got worked. Absolutely shredded. Definitely did not look like the defense we saw in the past 8 games.

    Between an 8 and 9. First bowl in 5 years and we are playing a ranked opponent with a chance to get 9 wins. Miami is a great location as well. The only thing that dampens my excitement is that we had a chance to go to the AAC championship if Memphis could have beaten temple. A New Years bowl game would have been the biggest Usf game ever, obviously. But instead it's just a nice bonus game.

    If we were going to add anyone, I'd like to see Northern Illinois. Been a respectable football program for a while, and would make for a great trip to Chicago.

    WKU could very well be ranked after that thrashing. Power 5 team or not, it would be a good win if we get it.

    Interested to see the details, but great news. we are stacked with talent and I have no doubt he will continue to kill it in recruiting.

    Willie isn't going anywhere this year. Now, if we are successful next year, that's a different story.

    I want an SEC team in Birmingham. But I will be at whatever bowl we make unless it's Hawaii. Been a long time since 2010!

    Normally I would agree. But UCF is bad. Like, a bad of epic proportions. This isn't a usual down year. They are clearly the worst team in college football. They haven't even had a chance in their games. We would need a meltdown of epic proportions to lose.

    Flowers is the QB now and for the next two years barring injury. AW will be a good backup, and hopefully will have a great senior season. Flowers has a chance to be the best QB ever for USF. No doubt there will be bozos on here calling for AW if we lose a game though.

    You guys are so sensitive. They talked about usf early on gameday and Herbie himself said something along the lines of "Willie Taggart, wow he has really turned that program around". we sucked for years. Even when we were at our best we choked when it mattered. It is going to take time for ESPN to "respect" Usf

    UConn will be fighting for a bowl next week, and they play good defense. I can see that one being close. This game is over, but if we beat UCF all day the pressure is on temple

    Memphis defense looks awful. Hopefully Lynch has a huge game.

    So...like 3 weeks ago I said giving him an extension after this year would be ridiculous. Yeah, I've changed my tune. IF we go 8-4 (which, if we don't would be a HUGE disappointment) we should absolutely offer an extension/raise. Tom Allen needs a raise as well. This defense is playing with an energy we haven't seen in a long time. Taggart is winning with his players, they are all very young, and there is no reason to believe the recruiting won't continue at this level. Barring crazy injuries, this team will be stacked for the next few years.
