  1. Mistakes at the worst possible times. We can't beat good teams like that. However, I don't think ECU is a good team. Flowers has had receivers open deep all game, he picked a bad time to go cold on the long ball.
  2. Absolutely dominated ECU in the first half... ...and we are up by 5.
  3. Nadelman better be done for the year after that kick. My god. What a shank.
  4. ECU is not as bad as they played against UConn, and they are also fighting for a bowl game. Going to be a tough game but we should be able to come out with a win. We need it.
  5. The losses really bring out the worst on this board. Even after a 3 game win streak.
  6. Temple is a fraud. Don't care how their game against Notre Dame goes. Their offense is weak and we will shut them down. It's just a matter of our offense producing against their great D. We CAN beat any team left on our schedule, I think Cincy is the toughest team left, just because their offense is great. We absolutely MUST beat ECU though.
  7. Tough decision that I wouldn't want to make. IF we go 5-7, his record improved every year, and both the offense and defense have shown great improvement this year. We will owe him (and Skippy) money if we fired him and started over. Also, we won't be high on any coaches list with all the open jobs available. Again, very tough but I think he would come back, just due to financial reasons. But, we will get 6 wins so it's moot.
  8. Memphis loss was on the coaches. This one is on the players. BAD penalties, drops, and fumbles. Oh, and field goals.
  9. When I saw that official signal first down so enthusiastically when he couldn't even see where the QB was on that QB sneak, I knew what was up. (it was the right call, but there is no way he was in the position to make it.) The PI on Adams was obvious on replay, but it's hard when everything is going full speed. They were bad. Certainly weren't helping us at all.
  10. Too many mistakes, missed field goals, dropped passes, fumbles, penalties, etc.. This team is so close to turning the corner into competing for the AAC title, but if it's not the coaches, it's the execution. We are still waiting for everything to come together. If we don't beat ECU we could (likely will) miss a bowl game, again. What the hell is going on with Nadelman?
  11. That drop by McCants probably cost us six. He was scared to catch over the middle, knew the hit was coming.
  12. He isn't playing out his contract if you extend him when he has one year left...
  13. Bowl game is the only one way he is certain to keep his job. Period. Also, you guys talking extensions are crazy. Way too soon. IF he makes a bowl game this year, you go through next year and if we are competing for the conference title then you sign him before his last year.
  14. It's odd to post this while we are on a 3 game winning streak, and 2 wins away from a bowl (with 5 games left). hard to see us going 1-4 at this point, but if that happens then we probably should get a new coach.
  15. to miss a bowl, we have to go 2-4 to end the season. In a year 3 coach with so much talent on the team, that would be pretty bad. Especially with two games we will be heavily favored. For financial reasons I think he MIGHT survive at 5-7 (unless one of those is to UCF), but let's all hope we don't have to worry about that.
  16. In relation to some of the other bowl options, it would almost certainly produce our best turnout. No bowl game since 2010. If we make it, and it's close I think a decent amount of fans show up, regardless of opponent. Nobody is going to Birmingham, Hawaii, or even Miami though.
  17. Lose this week and that projection means jack. i would take any bowl, but St Pete would be the best option, as we would have a good turnout, and i would get to go!
  18. Their offense scares me. Thankfully our offense has shown up lately. I think we will need 30+ to win this one.
  19. The colors of the helmet have absolutely no effect on wins or losses. I hate the oversized logo, though.
  20. Pretty sure it's 100 wins while FBS, regardless of opponent. Either way, our win % has been going the wrong way for too long, so I'm glad we got the W today.
  21. Going to be tough to get to 6 wins. SMU, ECU, and UCF are our best bets. Cincy looks vulnerable on defense as well. Would love to get to 6 before the UCF game though.
  22. This is the second game in a row where he has shown that not only is he a dynamic playmaker with his feet, but that he can make accurate passes down the field. He isn't perfect, and he is a sophomore. There are going to be growing pains (see the interceptions today), but I think we are all starting to see what the coaches see in him.
