  1. You have a complete lack of football knowledge if you think Flowers cost USF the game today. The defense, the receivers, and the o-line were really, really, bad today. Not to mention some of the playcalling. That's about all that needs to be said.
  2. One of the worst decisions Taggart has made here. I get that Bench has a stronger arm, but he was cold off the bench, and we should have stuck with what was working. Had 3 timeouts, down two scores with plenty of time.
  3. Absolutely no reason to develop him when he won't be starting next year anyway. This is the issue. You are assuming AW is the answer to all our problems. Like plenty of our prospects, he has a good arm but plenty of unanswered questions. Pretty sure the few people that covered USF said it took five throws to see AW was a better QB that everyone else. Doesn't matter who is throwing it when you have Bronson trying to play cornerback and Rodney "no hands" Adams.
  4. Our defense and receivers cost USF the game today. Flowers was fine. Certainly good enough for a win. Bronson shouldn't see the field again this year.
  5. I truly hope Bench leads us back for a win, but He isn't looking good. This is what you guys wanted, though.
  6. QF sucks man...you watching the amazing games we are? Yes we have other problems, but QF and cet have to go We have had TWO touchdowns that aren't on the board. Our defense has given up close to 400 yards already. We SHOULD be in this game. When players aren't making plays around him, that isn't on him. Although he could be better, he isn't costing us this game as you guys seem to think.
  7. I can't believe people are blaming Flowers for this. Amazing. Our defense sucks and we have lost two touchdowns.
  8. Agreed. If one of the blockers just turned around it would have been a score. Either way, we got the TD, but little things like that can come back to hurt.
  9. ...Actually, yeah they do. They had a top 10 defense last year, and are currently the number one defense.
  10. I don't understand why anyone cares one way or the other. I just want to win.
  11. So what happens when Bench plays and he isn't any better? START KEAN!
  12. Their back up looks fine. And if Holman's injury is season ending, he will have plenty of experience.
  13. You're right, Bench is the answer! If only any of the coaches could see it! Taggart just hates him.
  14. Why the hell would you change the QB when you are in the game in the 4th? I'm no fan of Taggart but that is an obvious one. Q. Why did you play Bench in the FAMU game? A: Because you told him he'd play and it was scripted when he would play. Flowers wasn't bad last week but they put in Bench in as planned. Q. Why should you play Bench in today's game? A: Because you told him he'd play. Flowers wasn't bad today but they had planned to use Bench. It was made public. It was in Joey Knight's article this week. It wasn't a secret. And, FYI, Bench again graded out better in last weeks game and through practice this week. Don't ask me why the kid doesn't play. Only Taggart can answer that. Yes, the coaches grade the players every time on the field. It is obvious there is no clear winner in the QB battle. But as a man, Taggart should keep his freaking word. Just like he told us at one event I was at about how explosive this offense would be. People are going to want to come to RayJay to see this offense. This is the same offense we've seen the last 2 years. I'm not even sure about the up tempo thing. They aren't huddling but they weren't getting plays off before the 10 second mark on the play clock. Flowers isn't the reason we lost. And I said in the chat room that if Flowers was going to be your guy going forward that he should play once this game was out of reach. But don't tell a kid who has worked his butt off that he'll play and not play him. Keep your mouth shut, tell everyone Flowers is your guy and play him come hell or high water. And if you lose your job over it, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Would be great if your boss calls you in his office and tells you what a great job you're doing, how much he appreciates your effort and says you are getting a raise next week. Then your paycheck shows up and there is no raise. You go into the boss and ask what's up. He tells you how hard you're working and THIS week you'll get a raise. Paycheck shows up again and again no raise. Do that for a year and you'll get an idea of what Bench has been up against. Do everything they ask you, don't get a raise, but please show up with a good attitude and bust your ass for me. You would make a great point, if this wasn't a football game against a ranked in state opponent that you are competing with in the fourth quarter. Anyone could tell you that you don't change a QB when you are tied at halftime as a 4 TD underdog. We had momentum coming out of halftime, and we were in the game in the fourth. Could he have put Bench in during garbage time at the end? Sure, but at that point, who cares? Other than Bench fans on this forum. We got beat by the better team today, Bench wasn't going to stop Dalvin Cook either. Flowers wasn't great by any means, but his play didn't cost us the game.
  15. I thought this was about the guy dressed in USF gear that was giving high fives after an FSU touchdown on TV... Talk about disgusting.
  16. Why the hell would you change the QB when you are in the game in the 4th? I'm no fan of Taggart but that is an obvious one.
  17. Too many mistakes. The interception in the end zone, the dropped pass on third down, the "targeting" on Sanchez. However they are a young team, and the game was close in the 4th quarter. I think we will be a much better team than last year, but with the schedule we have, it could still be a tough year for a bowl game.
  18. Anyone have insight on WHY he isn't with the team anymore? Sure, he never saw any action, but he has 3 years left. We aren't exactly sure who our playmakers are at WR right now, either.
  19. This. Clearly people don't understand that no one is implying Taggart hates Bench. Taggart just doesn't like what Bench looks like on the field, for whatever reason. So he puts other QBs that have the "look" he appreciates, even if their production is inferior. Happens all the time at every level of sports. Great coaches put productive players on the field. Good coaches will eventually realize the player that the "ideal" player isn't the best one eventually. Then there are coaches that keep believing that the less productive player is one play away from "figuring it out", and will keep playing them no matter what. Bill Belicheck thrives on picking up players that other coaches gave up on because all Belicheck cares about is production. Taggart is a young guy that still cares more about being right than being productive. One day he'll figure it out. He might be at another school before that happens. Say what now? I don't think MW is a great QB by any means, but his production is certainly superior to Bench.
