    Anyone know how to get The Golf Channel without a cable TV or pay satellite subscription...a way to stream it?

    Some of the older USF dorms in Andros area have flooding problems...the drainage is sorta crappy and the dorms can get water in them rainy periods....kinda like same problem with old Marshal Center when it rained. I don't think USF is going to put more money into Andros dorms than necessary now with in mind tearing them down in a few years and building new dorms. I think some of the new dorms colleges are building today are overly extravagant...if you've got a 12' x 15' dorm room with a/c, a bed, and a desk what more do you really need?

    The above posted link is from the Tampa Tribune newspaper. Wonder if the Tampa Bay Times newspaper based in St. Petersburg, where the purported incident occurred, published a story too? Some papers are quicker reporting stuff like this than other newspapers...editors make the call to publish or not....must weigh if public smear is appropriate or not.

    I think any of the USF dorms are fine...just hope your son gets a roommate he can halfway get along with.

    Watched for a little bit on TV the coaches watching the NC game...switched back to regular broadcast of the game cuz I was more interested in the game than watching the coaches. Was cool seeing CWT in the line up. The whole format reminded me of observing from behind a one way mirror a focus group.

    Blame the groundskeepers at Marlin Park...that loose, crappy sod placed on baseball field psyched out our runners after losing footing few times.

    Taggart will huddle the boys before today's practice and explain he did do the interview, listened to what they had to say, and will tell team he likes things here at USF just fine. Team will be stronger because of all this.

    Funny, but I think I read a couple of years ago that the USF new incoming freshman class had more new students from Broward county (Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area) than nearby Pinellas county (St. Pete). Maybe USF will get more fans at Miami bowl game than bowl game in St. Pete area?

    I've got this UCONN-Temple game as a toss-up. But I'm going with UCONN for win...they've won their last 3 games...it's hard to stop a locomotive once it gets rolling.

    I'm not nervous about this game. I'm confident the guys on the USF football team are ready, willing, and able to do what they need to do to win tonight.

    I'd bet ESPN today has more exposure with people watching on mobile devices, etc. more eyeball time people watching ESPN content which means they can still get a lot of advertising dollars. Cable TV years ago used to cost customers maybe $20/month...now some folks are on cable at $100+ month and they are pulling plug because of cost.

    St. Pete is fine with me. If USF goes there, we'll pack the place. USF's football team will have a great time at whatever bowl they do.

    ^ What! USF just creamed Cincy and they get to go to the Hawaii Bowl game out in Honolulu and USF gets to drive over to the St. Pete Bowl?

    I'm OK with piling up an extra 70 points against Cincy tonight first before worrying about breaking scoreboard against UCF next week. One thing at a time.

    I used to drink a lot of Heaven Hill bourbon. I don't think you can find it in liquor stores anymore...I must have drank it all up.

    Being employed as head USF football coach is a darned good job that pays well. Keep Coach Taggart happy here at USF and he isn't leaving to go elsewhere coaching.

    Not too far fetched Lane wanting USF head coach job, except for the fact that Coach Taggart probably will continue as USF coach. Lane's wife Layla is a native of Tampa and her brother David is USF's QB coach now.

    Miami football certainly has a richer history than UCF with Miami having all its past National Championships and all. But in future. long term UCF might be better football gig now for a coach. Aren't UM president, administration, and trustees less supportive of UM athletics after all the scandals UM football has tried to endure recent decades....kinda just fed up in general dumping money into the football team and getting nothing but bad publicity all the time. UM seems more interested in academics now, and less supportive of its sports teams. Which head football coach job will pay more...UCF or UM?

    I might try that at work today...ask my boss if I quit right now in the middle of our busy season can I get $200,000/yr for next 5 years.

    The stars seemed to be aligned for a golden opportunity for the UCF Golden Knights by Goldenrod, Fl to get Golden for head football coach job.

    Some prisons have experimented with painting jail cells pink to try and calm down the aggressiveness in inmates. If USF's pink uniforms notch down the aggressiveness in SMU's players when they see the pink USF duds, I'm for pink USF uniforms....if wearing the pink calms down our guys any, I'm not for the pink accented USF gear.

    Hope Steve's health is OK. Spurrier has been such a fixture in football for over 50 years...hard to imagine him just retiring and just golfing and mowing his lawn. I used to see him often when I used to gas up his Pontiac years ago at a gas station I worked at as a kid. He has a lot of ties throughout state of Florida for sure and he spent lots of time in Tampa when playing for the Bucs and head coaching the old Tampa Bay Bandits....Bandit Ball was a lot of fun especially with Spurrier coaching. Wouldn't be surprised one bit he takes a head coaching job at another college after splitting from S. Carolina.
