I'm kind of having a hard time believe that one brother doesn't know the other housed two basketball players in his home.  

I mean, they must not have been that close.  I'm sure he didn't know.

Exactly.  Even though one brother hired the other, they were otherwise estranged and neither one knew what the other was doing off USF campus.
