But, the more commits that get plucked away (?) the more he's going to have to replace.

I've always been partial to pilfer .... and his thinking could also be that he doesn't have to replace them this year. Go a little lighter this year if need be, with more slots available next year when he and the staff have a the whole year to work on it.

Those kids don't have to be replaced with Texas kids though. They will be replaced with other kids and possibly better players.  The truth is we won't know how that shakes out until signing day. We also won't know if any of those kids are truly a loss until a few years from now. None of the 3 are can't miss prospects even judson. I may have jumped a little hard here but I feel people are basically upset because water is wet when it comes to this. I also think we close strong and people will look a bit silly in the end.

I hope you are correct about this...things are very quiet.

Thank you for the clarity.

On the plus side, Shaun King just tweeted this.  Maybe all is not yet lost.

Thank you baby Jesus!!

Not every coach does it. Rhule sat in the box during Baylor's bowl game and straight up said, it's a **** move and he would not recruit a single Temple target. The announcers and Rhule went on about how it's definitely not the norm, but many coaches are guilty. Willie is guilty of a very **** move that some think is ok, but most think is crap.

I think it's pretty chivalrous of those who do what Rhule said he did .... but obviously he spoke to soon ... or maybe he meant "commit" instead of "target".

Jan. 7 was another notable day as the Bears nailed down commitments from four-star cornerback Harrison Hand from Cherry Hill, N.J., and three-star receiver R.J. Sneed from Cypress Ranch. Rhule and defensive backs coach Francis Brown had recruited Hand at Temple University, and convinced him to come to Baylor.

“I know I’ll fit in over there and Coach Rhule and Coach Fran (Brown), they’re just family to me,” Hand told the Courier-Post of South Jersey. “They’ve got my back and are going to do all they can to make me a better player. We connect. Fran and Coach Rhule, they’re great people.

Who were the WKU recruits?  I wasn't paying much attention.

I would have been pissed if the 3 recruits would of signed with UCiF..  WRs are plentiful in FL. Not a big loss IMO.

Also I would not be surprised to hear that Strong did not pursue these kids hard for whatever reason. Maybe he was not interested..

I seem to remember like a TE and maybe an Olineman or 2. But I could be wrong on that as well as my memory is not what it used to be.
