Assuming we get the spot, which seems likely, who's going, and is there anyway to have a meet up point so those who want to meet & put names to faces and share a beer or 2.

Found a $400 flight from LAX to BHAM. Might have to do this. Anybody want to pick me up at the airport?

Wife is a WVU die hard, so if they get the Russell, that's 530 the prior day.  We'd have to leave for Bham after the game, around 9 PM, and drive 3-4 hours & get a hotel, then get up early to drive to Bham. Not sure I can talk my wife into that, especially since it'd mid week, and she'd need 2 days vacation to burn on top of the WVU game.

But I'm not ready for the season to end, and was able to catch 4 games at Ray Jay, and last years bowl...so I'm REALLY going to try to get there.

I can't go. It would've had to have been a Monday or Friday (or better yet, a dang weekend!) for that to happen.

Still gonna buy a ticket.

I'm staying at the Embassy Suites (Manager's reception is nice).  Pretty decent rates.

I'm looking flying to Montgomery, which is about 1 hour, 20 min. drive according to Google and has a $335 r/t airfare.  You can also go to Atlanta for a little over $200 from Tampa (less than that if you want to subject yourself to Spirit Airlines).

Edit: http://www.kayak.com is a decent airfare site, as well as Orbitz and others.  It will let you know to wait, watch, or buy, depending on fare history.

It's only an 8hr drive from Tampa, and you gain an hour.(two tanks of gas there)  Soooooooo...for anyone thinking flying is cheaper, you're crazy.

I'll be there staying with friends and I'll try and pack as many Bulls in my car as possible!

GO BULLS!!!

I'm doing the drive solo. My normal partner went off to her new school(Got accepted a USF but didn't want to go :-( , chose FGCU). So, gonna take the time to clear my head, remember the good 'ole days when CJL was my hero and CSH wasn't destroying the program. I hope they have more than one beer line this time.

Any suggestions on best area to get a hotel?  Is closest to the stadium OK area?
