Syracuse's penalties also include a five-year probation and for the school to vacate all wins in which ineligible men's basketball students played in 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2010-11 and 2011-12 and ineligible football students played in 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07. He'll probably appeal and get most of the wins back along with a reduced suspension. The NCAA is an effing joke. Their initial punishment is never the end of the matter. It would really hurt a program like USF, but for Cuse, they just can't miss on prospects for a few years. They'll still have five 4/5 star players on the court at once and 4 star players on the bench. It just means more playing time for the talented youngins'. I still think UNC is going to get hit harder, that's why it's taking longer for the NCAA to come down on them.

Who cares he cant coach first 9 conference games of next year. they killed them on the scholarships, going to be a bunch of walk ons. Cuse will be in teh dumps for a while, have tons of great recruiters in their conference. Only thing they can promise is playing time from day one but can he really spin that ? It will also cost him whatever his pay is for 9 games, about $600,000. roughly 3/4 of a million dollars > a nickel
