Would you say he's the kind of guy who doesn't take "no" for an answer?

I know this is a generally relaxed board, but I would appreciate if you guys didn't make jokes regarding sexual assault, no matter the intent.

Winstons ability to read defenses is why he's the number one pick. In the no huddle offense mariotta is used to defenses didn't have time to adjust so the plays coming down from Oregon's booth would take advantage of that. Much easier for a qb to look good in that offense.

So why the high INT numbers last year?

According to Jimbo Fisher, a combination of trying to make too many big plays plus some not his fault.

Makes sense...and it seems to me the pressure to make big plays will still be there in the pros. Seems like it could still be an issue for him.

Not hating on the kid--of course he's a great athlete and has tremendous potential. I just think for the Bucs that Mariotti is the safer pick. And that's just my amateur opinion! :)

He tries to force it instead of just taking what the defense gives him.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
