Any thoughts on why Andre Davis was snubbed by NFL combine?

He's the most overrated player in recent memory. Suspect athleticism and more interested in making himself look good than helping his team win. I know that's harsh but I'm shocked that it wasn't obvious to more people.

Davis is about as good as Taurus and Bogan. I don't know that that's a diss. You're probably talking 3 of our top ~5, definitely 10, receivers ever.

He'll latch on as a UDFA. Bogan made the 49ers and then got the boot for being an idiot off the field.

P.S. While Davis was the only threat during most of his time here, he also had by far worse quarterbacking than Johnson or Bogan ever saw.

He will get into a camp. But very little chance to get drafted. Not very tall or fast. He's more of a Bogan kinda player in the NFL eyes. Bogan had a shot and blew it, which is a shame, because he could've made it with a good QB that took advantage of his ball skills and could throw him open.

I think Kloss not getting an invite is worse. Though mainly because I know his bench press results would get noticed.

Do people really hate on Andre for pouting when he was a true freshman / sophomore? People grow up. He seemed to be a leader as an upperclassman. Dude was the only guy who could ever catch a ball from our historically bad QB corps. His footage he sends to scouts should simply be all the errant throws by Eveld, White, and Co to other receivers and then him actually catching balls.

I think the distaste for Dre stems from the perceived (or actual) lack of effort early in the 2013 seasons where it was seemed clear he was giving up on plays and short-arming catchable passes. I don't think he did much of that this season (although one possible play comes to mind from the ECU game, but it wasn't a great pass), but it can take a whole lot to change a negative perception.
