Just listening to some of the local coverage... it turns out Seattle is one of the few (only?) NFL teams that travel their entire practice squad to every game (including the super bowl).

 

I am not terribly familiar with the roster technicalities but it sound like 7 players have to be deactivated from the full 53 man roster just ahead of kick-off. Possible BJ will be in the 53 active and then get deactivated just ahead of kickoff.

Correct, there is a 53 man active roster, but only 46 dress for the game.
