his hudl states he was the fastest lineman at several camps including ours, uf, bama.  that's always a plus.  I'm glad we are solidifying the line because I haven't been impressed with the backups at all yet.

zack hudson should be healthy for next year too, was originally a mizzou commit.  That's 3 (hudson, gibbons, bethel)really good lineman right there with some name cache who could are div 1 ready.  I think hopefully some of these other guys pay off like marcus norman, galati (played for joe kinnan, knows that offense), Jerimi hall, Benjamin Knox(originally a UF commit) pay off.  We need more lineman really.

Gibbons should be eligible. He didn't play a down for Stanford

I don't think not playing a down is the driver.  Seems it's more about if he was on the team when the season started.  Someone noted that he won't have to sit out, as he wants to be closer to family, but as most know, that's not enough to get a waiver.

I'm hopeful he can play right away, but he's still 19 or so, so we can't expect him to be a day 1 starter. But, his rankings give some hope for early impact.

It's already been stated multiple times by credible sources that he's eligible. Bethel is a great get.

Does anyone have a link to his officially being eligible next year? I've seen nothing but speculation.

I'm not as confident, till I hear it from USF.  Even the beat writers say they aren't sure.
