Kinnan as OC.  That would mean Kinnan reporting to someone that used to play for him.  Total 180 degrees in dynamic.

Wonder how that would work out?

Would probably be the only guy that will talk some sense into CWT and he will listen to.

So now what in regards to all those players we've been recruiting for the CWT sleeper hold offense? Do they jump ship? Do we now try and shove them into the spread offense like we tried to shove our previous personnel into the CWT system?

We have no choice  but to use what we have on offense.  The biggest problem will be on the OL where we now lack guys that have the mobility for a spread system....

Our OL can't block for the power run so we aren't really losing anything.

Thank God for the spread.  No comment on Kinnan.  Whoever the QB is better know how to scramble & slide. Hmmmmmm wonder what will happen to White since he is obviously hesitant to run.  This changes a lot of things.  If CWT is not that familiar with the spread hopefully he will keep his hands out of the play calling & stick to the HC duties.

This is what college football is going towards. Not comparing USF to these teams, but look at the rankings right now. #2 Oregon, #4 Ohio State, #5 Baylor, #6 TCU. Strictly spread offenses and then #1 Alabama and #3 FSU can spread things out whenever they want. In our conference, if we can find a way to score 24-28 points per game there is no reason we won't be contending for the conference title every year.

The guys we lost to graduation were recruited for a more finesse system and struggled with the power run offense.  The guys that are replacing them were guys Taggart recruited for a power run offense and not the spread.  Once again the majority of the offensive line will not match the type of scheme we are trying to run which will lead to struggles.

It will be easier for the offensive line to go from a power run to the spread than the other way around though...

^^^^ agreed; that's why I started the "why I have faith" thread. My interaction with him has shown me he's the right man for the job...

I support the guy
