I just read on a well respected site that......it's looking more and more like CWT will hire an OL coach and name himself the OC.

Really bad news !

So that said, to me it looks like either Danny Hope or Joe Kinnan will be our new OL coach.

I'm putting my money on Hope.

For CWT's sake, let's hope this all works out !

Is it the same respected site that started the rumors that we were switching to a spread offense?

Were they mistaken before or mistaken now?

As is the common phrase....it's all speculation at this point.

We haven't named a OC or OL coach yet and/or heard the official news from CWT/Harlan (if any) about our offensive philosophy next year so it's all board speculation.

I'm no OC or soothsayer but I'm thinking it will be our same base offense with zone reads.

I know it's all speculation. However, some people, like the one in your link, post things like they're the gospel.

I am relaxed.  You mentioned you saw this on a site, so I was just asking for a link so others could read the info also.

Ugh.

Is it just me, or does anyone else believe that the offensive plays that are called, while crappy and boring, would be much better executed if the person calling the plays could get them communicated to the QB much quicker.  I have just as much of a problem with CWTs choices of plays as I do with this issue.  Why does it take so long to call a 151 on 1 (Mack up the middle between center and right guard)?

True, but to be fair the link subject from that person is just a speculative  "What I'm hearing...", which the source of that could be anything.g...

Absolutely, and I don't see this issue getting better as long as CWT is calling plays.

So maybe the net result of all of this is that CWT is saving even more money on the offense side of the house to presumably upgrade on defense from a coaching standpoint?  I have seen no reason at all to believe that CWT can fix the offense.  This is looking more and more like epic failure.

You know what? Good for CWT. He's going to double down on his OC skills and either shove it in everyone's face or go down in flames. He's got a pair.

Yup, there are no scapegoats this season.  It's make or break time for him.

Are those real????

Someone needs to tie a rubber band tight around that sack.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
