I take it you didn't finish that book. I didn't either. Did he? Cruelest thing I ever did to our daughter was to make her read that book one summer. She challenged me to read it when she was done. Hardest book ever to get through. Worse than War and Peace. Edit: referring to difficulty of understanding the old language. Some of my favorite non-memories were concerts at the old Sombrero, the Men's Garden Club (now the Moffitt Cancer Center), Homer Hesterley.
