Although, re: the local sub shops, those tend to fail because while they are usually good quality, they can't differentiate themselves enough and keep prices lower and stay afloat too often. Another sub place I am into lately is Jimmy Johns. Their subs are fantastic and decently priced, and they have the absolute best salt and vinegar chips out there, bar none.
