If USF can find a way to build an OCS, they should. No doubt about it.

However,... they can't. So there is no need to talk about it right now.

They most certainly can

I would love for USF to prove me wrong.

Every negative thing I say about USF... I am HOPING to be wrong.

Judy Genshaft is giving it thought so that means to me they are looking at it down the road.

I can get a good look at a TBone steak by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.

They would not have to be turned into parking lots... most campuses let people park on the grass... Fowler Field, for example, would be a place where cars would park -- but it would not be paved and turned into a parking lot.  And I would say the trees in the wetlands area near Fletcher/50th, would not be cut down to accomodate parking.

In reality, people would park all over campus... and walk to the stadium.  At Auburn, we parked more than 1 mile from the stadium and took a bus... the lot was part of their agricultural area... expect people to park at the mall... and behind MOSI where the Renaissance Faire parking is.

if thats the case we are going to have to have a service of buses taking people from the lots like at Busch Gardens for disabled and the lazy.

Having been to road games at UCF, Notre Dame, Florida State, and Auburn -- to name a few... I can say we have enough parking at USF and places like University Mall to accomodate a 55,000 seat stadium... Busch Gardens lots would not be used for obvious reasons...

I can tell you that most places with an OCS do not have the parking situation we have at RayJay.  Most places people park all over and walk a mile (or more) to get to the stadium.

The only place that had close "general" parking was Michigan State... and that was about 1/2 mile away.

It sounds like you're one of the lazy one if you don't like the idea of walking.

Parking would be a huge issue for a Thursday or Friday night game when students are in class.  The biggest problem would be traffic getting in and out of campus.  I've hit huge delays after a basketball game with 4,000 people.  I can't imagine shat it would be like with 40,000.

Most schools with an OCS cancel later classes for weeknight football games to accommodate the game traffic.

USF would have to do what every other school does: officially cancel classes on Thursday evenings.

UCF closes their campus at 3:00pm on Thursdays:
