The Bulls and Cougars will meet for the first time on Sept. 25, 2021 in Raymond James Stadium. USF will return the game in Provo, Utah the following season on Sept. 23, 2022. “BYU has a tremendous tradition in college football and we are excited to have the Cougars visit Raymond James Stadium and for our fans to have the opportunity to see the Bulls play in Provo,†Harlan said. “Clearly, we are committed to building very competitive non-conference schedules for our football program. It's not like they have much choice. BYU was already experiencing scheduling issues even before the whole "P5" not wanting to schedule games with the "G5" The SEC and ACC have already stated that they do not consider BYU as a "P5" team and will no longer schedule them.
