Weird. The UCF WR and RB coaches are both African-American. If there was discrimination going on I would expect them to speak up before Ferraro. I believe he was being pushed out, but not because O'leary is a racist, but because they wanted Summers to take over the defense after the Baylor performance.

It's not about racism. It's obvious that he has African American players and coaches on the team. However, if some of the comments are proven to be true it speaks poorly about his character. BTW, why would a coach like Ferraro make something like this up...without evidence...or more than just he said she said?

Part of me hopes its not true b/c I would hate to think that there are still ppl in positions of power that stool think and act like this...

Money? Maybe because without tossing in some racist remarks the other accusations of micro-managing and belittling aren't grounds for a lawsuit. Ferraro admits that he never mentioned the racist remarks prior to the lawsuit and waited months before bringing the suit. If what he says is true, that he was belittled in front of the entire staff, there will be witnesses called and the truth should come out. More likely is UCF just pays the guy to make this go away.

Don't forget that McMurphy and his boy toys made up "the most powerful man in the building" line. They knew the truth didn't matter but that comment would resonate with many including Woolard.

If it turns out to be validated...he needs to go.

Honestly I'm hoping he stays and is cleared because we can recruit circles around GOL.

Whatever it is, Deadspin and some hefty media sites are running with it. At the very least, it's bad PR (and not the type where "Any PR is good PR" fits in), and I have to wonder if the high end donors over in Bithlo aren't starting to get uneasy in the same ways that the USF boosters were probably growing tired of Leavitt, in the sense that they enjoy the success and stability, but are seeing a coach start to wear out his welcome and are inching closer to where they can get him out and move on.

It doesn't sit too well if GOL is coaching circles around the USF coaches.

Gol is not that is why he is 1-4 vs USF

Agreed.

Being 1 - 4 vs USF...

...and that sole win being just a 3 pt game with UCF's best FBS team EVER vs USF's worst FBS team EVER is hardly what I would call GOL "coaching circles around the USF coaches."

It's not even in the same universe.

CJL > GOL > CSH > CWT at present.

Doesn't matter if the allegations are true or not

GOL is above scrutiny at UCF

The only way he is gone, is if he retires or gets hired away
