Hard to coach circles around someone if you don't play them ... and if you're focusing on that terminolgy, it's hard to say that GOL coached circles around CWT considering the actual game played ... but if you don't want to bring head to head to the equation, you need to move GOL to the far left of your equation.

So would your rankings be:

1) GOL

2) CJL

3) CSH

4) CWT

JTrue is on an off-season-style roll of ridiculousness today.

I despise GOL the person, but he's doing what they pay him to do. He wins football games. Just not against CJL. And only sometimes against the coach formerly known as Skip Holtz (the one that coached at ECU for a bit and then vanished).

What's the criteria for the rankings?

One game for all the marbles has to be CJL.

So how about best coach, whatever that means.

Or CSH .... His only win was Skip's first year there where he inherited a team coming off a 2 year 3-20 record. He then went on to beat GOL 4 straight times.

Don't know what "best coach" means either so won't use it. "Best Coaching Career" would fit that list ...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
