Looks like it was a mistake per ESPN.

 

Apparently what happened is that they sold a bunch of tickets to Coca Cola on the cheap so that Coca Cola could give them away in a promotion.  Coca Cola presumably on their own came up with this promotion, the university says they did not agree which they need to do per the contract.
 
I don't really buy it, sounds like typical backtracking after bad publicity.

Thats what was left about a 2 hour storm delay with 7 mins to go in the game and Michigan losing 26-10.

 

Interesting stat: Last time Michigan drew less than 100,000 to a home football game? Oct 25, 1975!

Michigan has a donor base to help even weather the worst of attendance storms. USF doesn't have this luxury yet. Harlan has his work cut out for him; I know quite a few ex-boosters that were fed up with the previous regime.

The point of it is to show even the biggest of the biggest programs will have attendance drop if they don't win.

4-8 in their last 12 and they're seeing the attendance drop significantly and there are people complaining/not understanding/have issues with our attendance when we're 5-25 over our last 30 or something along those lines?  :roflmao:

 

The announced attendance was almost 104K and here's a pic from the START of the game .... hardly a significant drop ....... yet.
