what people need to realize is that the goal isn't to have the best offense in the country. the goal is to win games.

his total game approach has proven over and over again that it is far superior to a wide open offense that scores in 30 seconds. he wants to run the ball, play field for field position and play good defense. notice how high powered offensive teams usually have terrible defenses.

is it entertaining? no but there is a reason why UCF beat Baylor and there is a reason why Oregon, Baylor, Texas Tech etc haven't been able to have any national success compared to top defensive programs.

it's why the SEC has dominated the Big 12 and Pac 12. they are able to play good defense and they are able to run the ball.

anybody who thought a 2-10 team with an epically bad offense would magically turn into a winner with essentially the same personell was foolling themselves from the start.

We have 19 new players on our 2 deep. NINETEEN!

It will take time for this team to grow, they are VERY young.

Every college team comes up with 19 new players every year.  Nothing new there.  1/2 the roster is Tags guys now.

I think they tempered everyones expectations with a Louisville Slugger to the back of the cranium on Saturday. If they pull the same crap against UConn this week, a two win season would be a reach.

If you get the right players...it's tough to get those guys at small programs, which is why a lot of them avoid this type off offense.

Besides, Florida ditched this ground and pound offense this year. Bama and LSU are running parts of the spread. FSU is a spread team. You can run an uptempo offense and have a great defense.

We don't have the dogs for that type of offense and it's painfully obvious. Work with what you have.

Expectations have been tempered! Still a little numb from the a** beating but coming around.

Hopefully Taggart makes changes on the Oline asap, the current line is not cutting it. Start some of the Freshmen/Red shirt Freshmen and maybe move some of the D Linemen to the O Line.

There isn't a team in the country that is going to win more than a game or two per year with 150 yards total offense.  You don't need to be an offensive juggernaut, but you need to be able to get more than one first down per quarter.

Yup, and I'd love to just see a sliver of progress. We always face planted in conference play under Leavitt, but I'd take being mediocre in conference play with the possibility of going to the Cheech and Chong Spaghetti Bowl every so often versus what I've been seeing the past three to four years. Players and coaches seem to be saying the right things around the media, but watching that body language on those sidelines tells me something different.
