Losing Davis hurts. It is always nice to have that threat receiver in at all times. Keep the defense on their toes.

Saw McFarland in warm ups before the game, he cannot run. He kind of hobble-skipped from station to station....it didn't look good.

A bruised sternum hurts but Davis should be fine by Saturday, there's no lasting injury there.

Hoping to see Thor and Eatmon back ASAP...you can't lose two guys from your starting OL...

Kloss just cramped up towards the end of the game, he's fine as well.

I wonder what's up with Tice, I know he had minor knee surgery but that was awhile ago. I think he lost his starting gig regardless.

Didn't Elkino leave the game as well?

Did he come back in later?

We need McFarland

This. He was a huge part of the passing (uh) attack last year, and while Price can fill some of that gap McFarland has surer hands and IMO more fire in his belly.

He came back in and got a sack too. He'll be fine.

Heard from an insider that Thor may have a broken foot as well...hope this is not the case. This poor kid has been through it and we need him.

I'm not optimistic about Thor at all.  Looked VERY much in pain coming off the field.

Don't know much about Eatmon but having him back would be awesome.  If Dre can get back out there, great, if not, we have options.  Adams can step up and hopefully one of the freshman, maybe Ryeshene, can get some targets.

@620wdae: Good news, Taggart says it looks like Andre Davis will return this week vs. Maryland.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
