275 yards, 4 TDs, 2nd most yards in USF history, most for a true freshman. I guess he's OK.

 

I believe he's tied for the first most yards in a game with Andre .... at least, that's what the radio guys were saying.

Sad thing is not being on a P5 team he won't get nearly any press at all.

 

do FBS teams USUALLY get press for running up stats against cupcake FCS home openers?

 

show anybody a box score for that game and the first thing anyone will notice is that we barely squeaked by our cupcake FCS home opener...

 

and if they DO notice Mack's incredible game, they'll say we needed a school record rushing performance just to beat the ******* West Carolina Catamounts.

 

i am happy for the kid, perhaps the only bright spot on the offense (Mike White is horrible and thus so is our pass game), but  it wasn't 5 years ago we would have EXPECTED a big game against this kind of team.

 

shows u where we're at as a program right now, and the future does NOT look bright.

It is great to see the flashes from the guys that Taggart has brought in.  The young guys looked fantastic.  It is going to be a long season as our best players are all freshman.   Skip left this team with the talent of a bad 1AA program.  But, the future is VERY bright.

I'm just saying that what Mack did was against a cupcake but the records for USF include these type games, over the life of the program. And it being their first college game, a true freshman just makes it more remarkable. The ESPN End Zone highlights for the day were all P5 and included plays against cupcakes. It included, for example, a run against South Dakota St by a Missouri RB.

Congratulations on an amazing first game to Marlon Mack.

Not trying to take away from his accomplishment at all. Just a precautionary note to everyone around here that will want to anoint him the next Bo Jackson he will need some help from the O line to become consistent
