PSU was never coming to Orlando to play...buyout was imminent.

 

 So the deal was then go to Ireland for the O'Leary v O'Brien game to preserve the game.

 

 

It gave PSU travel for players in sanction years.   Everyone would have preferred PSU make the trip to Orlando......

 

This is your opinion, right?

In an O Sentinel article over a year ago, they referred to the fact than when O'Brien and GOLtalked, Bill mentioned that in light of PSU having an offer for a fully paid trip to Ireland, they would likely buy out the UCF game, or UCF could join them in the nearly 1M per team payday.

It was an easy decision I would guess.

wait till Mizzou gets their paws on holman. That game will be the true test for ucf. They will use the game film from penn state and could make it very ugly.

ok Captain Obvious, yes UCF fans know Mizzou won the SEC East last year. I see the same thing in the Stanford series thread 'they're gonna get killed'  , I'd rather have an AD & Head Coach that is not scared to play these games then nitpicking dumpster teams like Maryland to pad stats. AAC teams will feel easier after the Mizzou game

Just so you know Under Armor arranged the Maryland series and we have had UM, UF, FSU, Wisconsin, etc. on our schedule.  So I don't think our ADs have been afraid to schedule anyone.
