I can't believe people who call themselves USF fans don't know Mr Selmon's name, is LEE ROY not LeRoy.

Sorry for the misspelling of Mr. Selmon's first name.  My error, but spelling isn't the issue here.  The issue is why or why not an OCS should bear the name of a great supporter or USF.  If you are talking of $$$ only, then you might want to consider the Morsani family or Muma family who have given oodles to the school.

Selmon gets the athletics admin building.  Stadium name goes to big donor for stadium or corporate name.  Field goes to Coach Leavitt in due time.

Nothing wrong with naming the field after someone not just universally and nationally respected in college football, 2x All American,  named to the Sports Illustrated All Century NCAA Team, Lombardi and Outland Trophies winner and College Football Hall of Fame inductee,  but also an NFL Hall of Fame member, the first from the local NFL Franchise. He stayed in Tampa when his football career was over and used his fame to help others in charity work. I see nothing wrong at all with naming the field after him after all he has done in football, Tampa and for USF athletics.

If we can handle the media's reaction to "The Team," we can CERTAINLY handle the reaction to "LRS Field" at ______ Stadium.

We can, but Ned apparently can't.
