Stupid article:

At the University of South Florida, no one is bigger than THE TEAM.

And that’s not just because THE TEAM is capitalized in this case, but because head football coach Willie Taggart has removed players’ names from the back of team jerseys and placed ‘THE TEAM’ on them instead.

While not really irony, it’s still a funny thing.

Let this be a lesson to all the glory boys, USF is not the school for you. The back of the jersey proves that.

Makes sense...who'd want to go to a school without names on jerseys?  Maybe USC, Penn St and Notre Dame?

Do "we" now? That certainly was the hallmark of Leavitt's teams. I don't know if we ever figured out when a Hotlz team played better (when the other coach was more inept?) and certainly not Taggart's team.

 

I blame the APR rising under Holtz. Bring back our boys who played on the edge and would run off a cliff for their coach.
