It will be interesting to see if Harlan goes the route of trying to face teams that we will have a very realistic shot at beating (West VIrginia, TCU, Kansas, Iowa State, Kentucky, Mississippi St.) but may not have much of an impact on the program overall if we win, or if he will try to schedule some teams that we will be heavy underdogs against (Oklahoma, Bama, LSU, Florida State), but if we were ever to win one it would make USF football nationally relevant again.

Personally I would be ok with it either way, but I lean a little bit towards facing some of the top teams in the country.  It's a great recruiting sell for Taggart to use, and if this programs goal is to truely eventually compete for national titles then there is no other way to do that then playing atleast one top 10 team during the season.   An undefeated AAC season with a couple of wins over West VIrginia and Miami is most likely not getting us into the playoff.

I'd give anything for a UK home and home.

I want revenge against Kentucky

Harlan made reference that actually other ads are not so easy to sign us because of the recruits we've been getting. He's basically pulling strings with friends to get us tough opponents.

@USFFootball: . @MarkHarlanUSF  2 BIG12 teams and SEC potential

I am not seeing this tweet anywhere.

Is this just speculation on your part? Or are you attempting to troll?

We were in the same conference as Louisville, they went to the BCS the same year we did.

I'm assuming he was referring to the supposed talent gap and point spread.

    "There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
