You'll need fresh bait. That old shrimp is only going to catch catfish.

The fan base needs to be about 50k to 60k a game for football. About 7 to 9K a game for hoops. Do that and USF will be in good shape.

Win and that happens. Simple as that.

Maybe

I believe that if we can consistently win at this level we will draw back in some of the fanbase that has abandoned ship. Make a bowl game this year and I expect to average around 35k a game next year. Continue being successful, and I expect a new conference.

It will be interesting to see how the fanbase reacts to both the P5/NC changes as well as the rebuilding (we ain't done). What if, just s'pose, that USF stays in the AAC for a few decades? What if - at its best - USF, and the AAC in general, wind up long term outside the P5(Division IV football)? Would we still buy season tickets? Do we still come to games? Do we still support USF football, or do we mail it in, kind of like, "if we're not in the P5, what's the point in continuing?".  Are there parallels to be drawn between basketball support (47% lifetime winning percentage) and football support? I just think, not being even twenty years into the game, it's hard to get a real feel for what USF fans will support...for instance, would winning consistently in the AAC, building those rivalries, draw like the Big East?

More correct would be. Play exciting games and provide entertainment and the fan base will come back.

I have noticed in my time as a BULL even when we were great the stadium would empty in the 3rd if it was a Blowout either way. We need close, action packed (high scoring both sides) football games along with wins to get to the 50-60k  mark.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
