Ray Ray McCloud, RB, Sickles HS

Need to show Ray Ray and other top area talent that not only will USF be a winning program, but that it's a pipeline to the NFL after a couple years.

These blue chip kids care more about getting in and out so they can be drafted. If their skills can be out on display early, they may come.

 

May really be key in the next few years. Much better to have 3 years in and out players then to worry about red shirts. It is a dream but hopefully USF can still become that dream. 

 

Was thinking the same this morning on the way to work, wondering if V Jackson would RS.  If players are beasts, you likely get 3 years on campus.  Why waste one with a RS (see Manzel, and likely Winston).  I think Taggart sees the same thing, but more importantly, the need to win NOW, means save nothing...get the best talent on the field. I didn't like bringing White in when the season was likely dead already.  But those 5 games could prove valuable in building his experience for 2014.

Well, the Mrs. & I will be at Sickles tomorrow night for the Robinson game. It's going to be interesting to see how Robinson game-plans against RRMcL, as I'm pretty sure Sickles is not top heavy in other offensive weaponry. As for where he winds up playing, until there's signatures and fax machines, it's all just fun speculation. Not saying he wouldn't be an asset, but he's also smart enough (or been sufficiently advised) to avoid burning bridges or slammin' doors...a lot can happen over the course of the season.
