Oh come on guys... Did you not see the comedy in that statement? Everyone could probably read it differently, but I read that statement to mean that USF needs someone new and exciting. We don't need another typical, run of the mill AD. We need someone to be bold, outgoing, and get this program back on track. I think the white guy statement is just a stereotype of a white collar businessman dressed in a suit, collecting paychecks, very reserved, etc. You could argue that is not what USF needs at this time. We need someone that stands out to get us rejuvinated again. We need a change from Woulard at this time.
Not everyone will see it this way though, I understand, but a statement like that shouldn't deter you from the entire article and discount it altogether. Their entire premise is being sarcastic, healing through humor and being ecstatic when things are going right for us. You should already know that going into the article. It may not be for everybody and that's fine. Those comments just irritate me though.
