  1. Shafer left to coach Webber Intl Univ, but then came back around '07 if I remember correctly. I know because he was a celebrity in Lake Wales(my hometown). He really brought that program back. USF's old RB, Ben Williams went to LW
  2. He did the whole hat thing. Acted like he was going to grab USF's hat, then went to Syracuse. I hate that. Just pick it
  3. I asked Joey Knight the other day and he confirmed that Heath is on scholarhsip. I, too, was unsure as there was talk of him becoming a walk-on to free up scholarship room.
  4. Pretty sure Heath is on schollie http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=205741266 Correct. When Drew Davis went to prep school, that cleared up the scholarship issue.
  5. Great effort in the first half. Different USF team out there. This is the team I know we can be and more.
  6. I'm just going to say this. I definitely heard this rumor a few weeks ago. I have good friends that work for USF Athletics who said some things. Not just one, but multiple sources. Take that for what you will. There is a reason AC specifically wanted to bring this up. He definitely made some comments and maybe it was the heat of the moment, but AC said some bad stuff about Heath. I'm a little weary of the guy now. I'm worried about the mentality of the team too. Go to the games and watch how the players treat Heath sometimes. Yelling back in his face, avoiding eye contact, not letting him speak. Not things you expect to see from a player who respects his coach. You won't see players doing that to Coach K or the likes. Not saying all hope is lost, but this team is slipping away from Heath and he needs to bring them back somehow. Can't really afford to buyout his contract and hire another coach, plus who are we going to hire? Heath has proven to be a winner in the past at least and with multiple teams. He's just not in a good spot currently and I'm not sure he can get out of this one. Not trying to be negative Nancy here, but I hope for USF and Heath to turn this around. I thought we were going to be awesome this year. Yes, losing Collins definitely hurt, but we have much bigger problems on this team to correct as well. I'm going to continue going to the games and hope to see improvement. We need something...
  7. Hey Bullwinkle, wasn't this the guy that you said if he committed, you'd do his laundry? If so, I think you have a lot of folding to do lol
  8. Wow, did not see that one coming. Thought for sure Litton was done here with the way he handled himself and talked about Taggart to the media. Not sure how I feel, but the kid does have a chance to be a solid QB. I'm still on the Team Flowers train right now though.
  9. I know a lot of you guys don't like smazza, but I love this guy. Almost every post he writes gets a little laugh out of me
  10. I think he's on the team because it's not everyday you come across a 7'3 giant. In my opinion, I think Heath took him on as a project. He barely has to jump, if at all to reach the basket. His knees just look really bad. Not sure if it's because he is so big or he is still trying to learn to pivot. If we want to play fast-paced basketball, we can't do it with him. We would have to go back to slow-paced basketball(which we still do from time-to-time, but that's a different discussion). No way he could keep up running back and forth for even 6 minutes without being absolutely exhausted. The topic of OMG is a good topic and smazza raises a good point. If you have seen this guy play at all, then you know there is no way he deserves a scholarship at Division 1 level. However, his size gives him an exception. Who knows, maybe they continue to work with him and in 2 years maybe he's playing 10 minutes a game and is a part of some big posessions for us.
  11. Were you a season ticket holder last year? Did you see this guy play at all? He looks like he can barely run, has minimal basketball moves and IQ and just isn't very productive. Surprisingly, he does get pushed around or he is very, very quick to foul. I had high, high hopes for him 2 seasons ago anxiously awaiting the following season to see this 7'3 behemoth. Then I saw him play the following year as a RFr... I hope he continues to develop as a player as he has not been playing the game long. However, this is only Egbunu's 4th year playing organized basketball and look at him. Not all can be all-star athletes like him though. Regarding the part about you wanting OMG to come in instead of Perry. I seriously hope you mean that you would rather see Egbunu and Perry already out there AND THEN have OMG come in because to not ask Perry to come in for Egbunu otherwise is just plain crazy. That kid is just as talented and he has so far to go too. He's got some weight to lose and a little bulking up to do. He can't run up and down the floor like Egbunu can yet, but I believe he can be just as talented. OMG is a fan favorite and is cheered every time he steps on the court. This isn't because he's some great player. I think it's more that it's so cool that we have a GIANT on our team and we want to see this big guy ball out. He's made a play here and there, but the bad seriously outweighs the good on this one. I really like the guy, he just cannot play the game. We can't even do a simple feed down low and a layup or slamma jamma with him. I did like how we tried to use him as a wall for the last inbound pass against FGCU. However, that didn't turn out so well, but we still pulled off the W due to the .3 sec rule.
  12. Maybe it won't show this year, but what about next year?
  13. Couldn't this be bad for us too? If Strong goes to Texas, with his FL recruiting power, I would think he'd do a better job at Texas. He'd be able to steal more and better recruits
  14. If you get the Beta Chrome Browser it has an indicator on the tabs that sound is coming from. https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/beta.html
  15. Are you guys getting discounted tickets? Still says mine are $250/piece. Same as last year
  16. I can't make it I will be in South Carolina the week of Thanksgiving. Hoping to sell the tickets to a fellow Bulls fan
  17. Texas From the colors, I'm guessing SMU? ....Looks like we had 8-10 fans there. It was the FC Dallas stadium(MLS Soccer team). SMU plays at Wescott field
  18. Wow surprised to see someone from my High School alma mater. Probably haven't had many recruits since Maikon who I graduated with.
  19. Never seen this much upside in a loss before, but I'll take it. Hope we can keep it going
  20. What should have been: USF WINS!!! 30-28!!! Andre Davis touchdown pass from Mike White. Refs decided against this tonight!
