  1. Saw on his Twitter that he was talking about UCF. I can't paste the exact text since I'm at work, but his words were, "Man, UCF Got My Eyes Wide Open. Them Boys Ranked Now." I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little concerned about Tajee. Back when he made his statement about still being open to looking at other places, but still committed to USF. I'm hoping that means he wants to take some visits to other schools, but is still committed to us. I guess we'll see come February

  3. I always have fun. I drank too much though :-/ My wife and I were drinking alone when some other Bulls fans came up to us and we all got to talking and before I knew it, the booze was flowing and we had a ton of flip cup games going. Bulls fans are the best. We had A LOT of Louisville fans stop by our tent because we were probably pretty loud and they wanted to see the action. Pretty cool how a simple tailgate with my wife turned into a decent sized homecoming party.
  4. Are you still trying to pass of this convoluted version of USF football history? The first game of the 2006 season was against an FCS team (1-AA then) and the game plan itself called for Julmiste to start and Grothe to come in for the second half. It was going to happen even without the injury--- which only prompted Grothe to come in a little earlier than planned. It was a little ironic that in the Papa John's Bowl that year, Grothe got us a nice lead and then suffered an injury allowing Pat Julmiste to finish up the game and his Bulls career on the field. Julmiste was not god's gift to the QB position but he had his moments. That 2005 season was not about the QB anyway-- it was all about Andre Hall. I really don't understand why he gets crapped on even 7 years later by people who probably couldn't carry his jock. There were games where if not for Julmiste, we would have lost-- TCU and ECU are prime examples. I guess it is entirely possible that you are remember the exploits of Ronnie Banks-- who was very bad and who Julmiste took the reigns from. Julmiste was terrible except for a couple games like TCU. However Leavitt chose to start him coming out of camp. At that point no one knew what we had with Grothe. Julmiste was a bad passer but he could run the ball. And yes I remember banks also. I remember every QB back to Barnhart unlike some others on here. I don't remember Leavitt saying grothe would at second half so if that's true I was wrong. Hey a Barnhardt reference. He was my football coach when I was in high school! I had no idea of his past with USF and sadly I didn't even know who USF was. I remember my freshman year of college, coming back to my hometown and seeing him in the football stands. He was no longer a coach there. Had a talk with him about USF. Super nice guy.
  5. I was reading a TBO article on the game this weekend and saw a comment from someone who claims they know Floyd. They said he's on pace to finish his degree after only 3 years. I also recall an interview with him in preseason and he wants to join the military or air force when he's done with school. Forget which one. That being said, I think Floyd just continues to support the team. I'm sure he's doing all he can to prep White. Sure he would love another shot but he blew it. I can't believe Bench has been has bad as he's been. It's weird because while watching him play, it doesn't feel like he's doing bad. I have hope when he's in and there's a different energy, but he hasn't shown much. I hope White can come in and show us he has the potential to be our guy. Not expecting a lot due to inexperience, but I'll be closely watching how he handles situations. I can't wait to watch him Thursday.
  6. He was one of our best recruits last year. A great grab. Although, I thought he was a 4-star last year. Did they demote him to 3-star? He was at least a ESPN-300 guy. Getting him in will be great for our D-line
  7. Josh Newberg said they're talking about Eric Mayes. He committed last year, but couldn't come with the class. Grades or test score issue. I forget
  8. He said it was a 3-star. Chances are we always find out by end of the day or tomorrow. Pay site people will know RIGHT NOW and the rest of us will find out hours later. At least that's what I've found to usually be the case
  9. They finally responded to me and said that Steve Francis was the winner. If any of you know him, send a big congratulations! Just curious, did any of you know that this contest was being held? They announced it back in August, but I don't recall ever seeing it advertised since then. You would think they should bring more light to a fan contest. I still remembered to get on and vote everyday because I bookmarked it, but otherwise I probably would've forgot.
  10. I'm curious if anyone on here won. I voted everyday and USF Athletics Twitter told me that they would be announcing a winner on Monday, but they never posted anything. The website: http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=209221879
  11. Link: https://soundcloud.com/bullsfan12/willie-taggart-show-131021 As always, commercials edited out
  12. I think it's Cook. Read the guy's comments. Would be cool if we could steal him from UF
  13. Right arm was around the hip while the left arm was deflecting the pass. Definitely the right call as he was hugging the WR with his right arm
  14. I thought McFarland was the one who ended up blocking the field goal again for a 2nd straight week. Was it Juju?
  15. Got any Shell scripting or anything of the like up your sleeve for Mac OS X?
  16. I tried talking my wife into going, but she has to get up super early Saturday morning and therefore will not be going. I'll still be there though. Driving over after work.
  17. Maybe that's what it was. I couldn't remember. I just knew he said he was committed, but went somewhere to get his grades up. Hope he can get those grades and is still committed
  18. Is there a betting pool for where we will finish in the AAC? If they have us picked to finish 9th or 10th like the CBS analysts, I'll place big money on that in no time.
  19. I wonder how the Eric Mayes situation is going. He was our only ESPN 300 player in last year's class, but he had to go to JUCO because of grades. In pre-season he said he was still committed to the Bulls. I hope this is still the case and he can join us soon.
  20. This one is missing the first little segment. I wasn't able to leave the office early enough, but I caught the first segment as I was driving home and pulling up to my place. It was mainly coach speak and the injuries are still questionable. Nothing new really. Haven't listened from the Mark Joyce interview forward. 21. Technically we are tied for 2nd. Houston has the top spot currently only because they are the only team who has played another AAC team; Temple.
  22. This show is missing the first minute or two. I got a home a little late and rushed to the computer to setup the recording. I apologize for this, but it's only a minute or two. I usually try to leave early on Mondays to record this for you all. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but here is the audio with all of the commercials cut out: https://soundcloud.com/bullsfan12/willie-taggart-show-130930 Enjoy! Disclaimer: if for some reason you want to go back and listen to previous replays on my profile on sound cloud, chances are you won't find them. I'm already over my minute limit, so the older shows are now hidden from public. You will only be able to see the last two shows. If you would like to hear the older ones and they are not visible on sound cloud then shoot me a message and I can add it to dropbox or something and give you the link so you can download it.
