Every coach is "not going anywhere" until they do, typical coach and agent speak. No one admits anything until the ink is dry. I'm not saying Mora is leaving but to believe he's staying just on public comments is naive.

That's what I mean. Mack Brown has been toast for weeks. If you know Mora is your guy, you can't give him the extension without being 100% positive he's sticking around or you look like idiots when he jumps ship the week after. So you either sign him with confidence or wait until this all plays out and then sign him.

So it was leaked all over the place that More "agreed" to a new contract in early December.  That doesn't necessarily mean it's been signed.  Sometimes it takes weeks or months to get it signed after a verbal agreement.  

 

Not that Mora is going to Texas by any means, but until Texas has a new coach I wouldn't definitively rule anyone out.
