His hard headed play calling cost us this game.  He doesn't seem to ever be concerned about what the other team is doing defensively, he only looks at the scoreboard to decide his play calling strategy.  Ehhh.  Very sad.

Are you guys nuts.   WE HAVE NO TALENT STILL.    This team without BJ Daniels the last 2 years was just as bad but he covered it up.  I even trashed BJ at times but without him seasons like this would have come much sooner.   Holtz was either last or 2nd to last in in conference recruiting every single year,  Taggart right now is 1st.   Go look at FSU, they were awful but then Jimbo recruited him butt off and now they are the #2 team and really have played like the #1 team.  Oregon,Bama,Ohio State,Clemson,Stanford,Louisville,UCF,Boise for years.........all products of great recruiting.    When you out class a team like Memphis, a few bad play calls here and there do not matter.   Shoot Jim Leavitt in that case was a terrible coach if we just go by playcalling.   Stop freaking out and just realize that right now we stink and it's going to take 2 recruiting classes to get us to a conference championship level.    Andre Davis is a decent receiver at best on any other team and the dude has 520 yards with a 14.5 average!  Coach T may be losing on the field but he is winning recruting and thats way more important then a meaningless game with Memphis.

Taggart is a 7-5 coach in his BEST year.  He was given the keys to a Vette that needed a tune up and a little rework.  He's turned it into a Yugo operating on one cylinder.  He's NOT a good coach and after nine games, that is clearly evident for ALL to see.

This was a pathetic performance coming off a bye week. Not a sign of good coaching when the team looks awful after bye weeks. I believe this team will be bad next year as well.

I think people don't have any clue that it takes more than just "talent" to run the kind of offense Taggart wants to run. It takes time to let the players develop physically.

When he first got here Taggat said the OL (both lines actually) were not nearly as strong as they need to be.

It is hard to run a power game with an offensive line that was put together to be quicker and more zone blocking oriented.

The offense works at Stanford because their OL is physically dominant. The offense is designed to grind on the DL physically and over power them with a bigger back.

Stanford's primary back is close to 230 lbs. so was Gerhart when he was there. Rainey was about 215 lbs at WKU. I would say Shaw is realistically about 175lbs at most. He is the one that gets worn down.

Bottom line is this offense will work and I think it will work with the talent we have on the OL on the roster now (plus the guys coming in) once they not only learn the offense, but get physically strong enough to run the offense.

I think some of the moved Taggart made yesterday were really stupid, but I think they were more out of desperation and exasperation with the futility of the offense than anything else.

We need a big time RB recruit and we still need another QB or two to sign on here.

As far as Taggart, if next year is bad as this then the seat should get warm for the third year, but not before.

He's still a young coach - hope the 50 year old version of CWT is better than the current version. In fairness to CWT he inherited a mess, and I would think that has impacted how he exersizes his judgment.

You may be willing to wait for Taggart's fifties for USF to be competitive, I'm not.  He'll be gone next year because he's not even a decent replacement for Kragholtz.  He'll probably end up being a perennial assistant lauded for his recruiting ability (something else that has not been evident while here as HC).  Might as well pull the plug at the end of this year, the story has been written and it's a 30 page, dime novel.

Yikes! You think USF football circa 2012 was a 'Vette that needed a little work???

Yikes! You think this team is better in 2013 than it was in 2012 under Kragholtz????/
