Taggart said the QB battle is between Eveld and Floyd. Noted that Bench has had positives, but is still getting to know the offense.

if CWT completely gave up on a guy after one bad game-- that would not be very good. Doesn't mean he has to start him, but give him a chance to keep competing.   same goes for everyone on the team--

Eveld had a TON of dropped passes and if not for the huge deficit, we would had been able to put something together to come back. He was basically put into a situation of throwing on everydown... even Plant High could had stopped us from going deep under these circumstances. Just send everyone back and prevent the big pass.

 

It basically boils down to this... Floyd has a better arm, but otherwise sucks... Eveld has a weak arm, but is an all around better QB.

 

I would rather have a QB like Eveld who is smart and won't give the game away vs. Floyd who will just huck the ball down the field and hope for the best.

Eveld reminds me of Severino

Not to mention the bad position Floyd and the punter gave the defense. While I admit the defense played lost the offense put us in the whole positionally which led to a lot of points in addition to the three turnovers. I think the punter changes this week to Munoz.

I disagree. We could spend the whole season getting White ready for next year.

Not sure about the logic there. Eveld is a senior. If Floyd is better than Eveld then play him. End of story. Not sure I understand the logic of saying the season is over so start Floyd even though Eveld is better. That is like saying we should have just sat BJ last year for the finals three games (even though he did with the injury but you know what I mean), that way Floyd or Eveld could get some reps in for this season.

 

Play whoever gives you the best chance to win. If it is Mike White, then it is Mike White. I dont have a problem seeing Floyd out there again if he earns it in practice. Hopefully he brings it to the game this time.
