Guess I didn't realize CWT job was to "build trust"? I thought he was there to put the best players on the field and win games. Just another dumb thought on my part. Sorry.

This isn't grade school. Players performance affect people's jobs. In your army Gomer Pyle would have been a General.

 

This may not be grade school, but if you are as simple-minded as to think that the bolded text above is the extent of CWT's job, you're either taking a stupid position just to be difficult, or you've never played any form of organized sports, much less at a college level.

He may still be a good captain and maybe even though he doesn't start he has a knack for motivating his teammates. Maybe he isn't getting first reps, but you know in practices and everywhere else like even the classroom etc maybe the players just really like him.

I really thought we'd have a losing season but there is absolutely no way I saw the 0-3 start.  2-1 with additional wins at Memphis, Uconn, and Houston.  I thought SMU would spank us, along with Meatchicken St., Miami, UL, Cincy, and Rutgers. Really thought we would have a chance against UCF to keep our perfection intact. Oh well, best laid plans.......
