a Canes pal told me UM expects to hear as early as Aug 8.  Losing schollies is almost assured.  I believe at least one of the DEs they are taking is the guy kicked off Nebraska (or some midwest team).  They took 2 transfers, I believe. I'd guess they both have to sit out 2013.

My friend was telling me the other day how awesome their recruiting class is. Is it oy because they have a lot of early commits?

Hope they blast them with sanctions soon. Make em cut that class in 1/2.

Cheating should not pay.

Kevin Bronson sets USF visit

  •
Andrew Ivins Sun Sentinel

2:31 p.m. EST, January 10, 2014

Village Academy three-star defensive lineman Kevin Bronson will take an official visit to USF the weekend of January 17th. Bronson, who was scheduled to visit South Carolina that date, changed his plans after hearing from Bulls assistant coach Ron Cooper.

Bronson had named Virginia Tech his leader earlier this month, but on Friday he confirmed with the Sun Sentinel that he’s considering USF, Florida, and Virginia Tech.

“They’re all in the picture right now,†Bronson said.

The six-foot-four, 233-pound lineman projects as a defensive end in college, but he has the ability to play both the three and five-technique, which makes him a commodity this late in the recruiting process.

Bronson said Virginia Tech coaches are expected to meet with him next week after a recruting dead period ends, and he will visit the Hokies' campus on January 24th. He will also visit Florida the weekend of January 31st.

Don't like that he meets us 1st. I always prefer last in these type of situations.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

    Jim Leavitt
