I've seen Flowers equated to BJ in the way he basically is the team that he currently plays on. Porter could be a better QB, but competition and results on field for Flowers are better because of what he lacks around him

Ha, found my answer on a different post....

Through 7 games:

Flowers:

Total Passing: 59 of 136 for 1,118 yards, 12 TD, 7 INT

Total Rushing: 71 runs for 501 yards, 8 TD

Porter:

Total Passing:  69 of 137 for 1,713 yards, 19 TD, 4 INT

Total Rushing: 103 runs for 875, 11 TDs

Do you think the quality of the competition plays a role in those numbers?  Miami is considered one of the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country.  Is Tampa?

Jefferson has a great program going on, but Porter doesn't have the best talent around him either. Porter has been doing it alone same as Flowers, but slightly more effectively.

I'm no expert, but I believe that Miami has a slight edge on Tampa as far as talent in players, but Tampa produces really good talent out of high school... Not to mention,  Team Tampa has been running things the past couple of years which means Tampa definitely produces some talent in high school football.

But yes, you have a good point.... If Flower's high school was in Tampa, I think his numbers may be better.

Cool thanks for the input.  Yeah I thought about the Team Tampa thing too.  Judging by Nate Godwin's and Nigel Harris' performances there definitely is quality in Tampa.

Porter flipping to UCF soon? He said "UCF has caught his eye", and he has visited there twice already.

It was on Bulls 247 Twitter. Idk how to embed the link on here. Sorry!

That's what Fullwood said.  Didn't see Porter say anything to that end.

I guess this gives us a clue as to the position he wants to play next year. If he's thinking of decommitting, he's a QB all the way.

Believe Porter and Fullwood went over there together and both made similar comments to the media.

Any kind of link to where Porter said the same thing Fulwood did?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
