Would BJ's versatility earn him a spot? Don't think they were set on Colt and think Tolzien is gone. So Wallace they probably figured to bring in with enough time to get some of the offense down or in case McCoy flamed out last night or anyone was injured. If they're really sticking with Colt as 2 I can't see them cutting BJ for a 33 year old, weaker armed and slower version of BJ (at this point he's not much more than that). I just think Harbaugh is pretty dead set about having a rookie enter the year as primary backup when Daniels has looked great he's still got developing to do. However, I have a feeling that as Seneca Wallace learns more of the offense then he would fit in as well but also have real NFL experience Tolzien is obviously the odd man out. The question just remains, will the Niners be able to unload Colt McCoy? I don't buy Harbaugh's comments for a second.

I think BJ could make the squad as a kick returner. Or they drop Wallace.

I don't think it is that sure of a thing. Obviously there are only certain teams that run a certain system that Daniels would fit into. the 49ers are one of them. I too am happy for BJ that such a classy team player will have an NFL career. Go Bulls!

SMFH.

He'll have less pressure and more time to learn the NFL.
